Born and raised in the Bay Area, Koji earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, majoring in Business, Education, and Economics. Before transitioning into the mortgage industry, Koji founded a successful tutoring company and gained experience in Venture Capital and Fintech.
Koji and Nelson met in 2020 when they joined forces to establish Arc Mortgage, LLC in 2022. While fiduciary duties in the mortgage industry lack concrete legislation, Koji takes immense pride in prioritizing his clients’ best interests. Drawing upon his educational background, he approaches each client relationship with the care and attention he would give to his own family.
Koji’s goal is to empower borrowers with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions that benefit both themselves and their families, rather than simply selling them unnecessary mortgage products.
Outside of work, Koji finds joy in various outdoor pursuits, including snowboarding, backpacking, and scuba diving. He also treasures quality time spent with loved ones, whether it’s traveling, socializing with friends and family, or walking with his two beloved Shiba Inus.
